University Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, abbreviated as "Tun University", was established in 1993 and is a Malaysian public university certified by the Chinese Ministry of Education's Foreign Affairs Supervision Network. The school is located in Batu Pahat, Johor, the hometown of the late third Prime Minister Tun Hussein. It is approximately 1.5 hours' drive from Singapore and 3 hours' drive from Kuala Lumpur. The principal is Sultan of Johor. UTHM focuses primarily on engineering and technology, and is the only public university in Malaysia with a flight training college and airport, as well as the only one with a degree in railway engineering. In addition, Dundee University is also the only university in Southeast Asia that can obtain flight degrees, licenses, or aircraft maintenance degrees and licenses. There are over 17000 students at Dun University, including international students from 32 countries around the world. Currently, more than 70% of the faculty and staff in 8 colleges hold doctoral degrees in various disciplines. Dun University was rated as a five-star university by QS Stars University Rating in 2019.
