School Introduction - UUM
UUM was founded by Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia, in 1984 and is the sixth public university in Malaysia. It is the only university in Malaysia specializing in management education. The main campus covers an area of 1061 hectares and is located in Novotok, Kedah. It is situated in a lush tropical rainforest surrounded by verdant hills and is one of the most beautiful campuses in the region. It is the only university in Malaysia that provides on campus accommodation for over 22000 students. The most advanced facilities and infrastructure of this university are comparable to the best campuses in the world. This campus, which cost RM580 million, began operating on September 15, 1990 and was officially announced to be open by Sultan Kedah and His Royal Highness the President of UUM on February 17, 2004.
