Luohe Food Engineering Vocational University and Malaysia Quest International University have successfully obtained approval for the Sino-foreign cooperative education program.
Under the active promotion and coordination of the Malaysian Education and Culture Promotion Association, Luohu Food Engineering Vocational University visited and conducted exchanges at Quest International University in Malaysia on July 26, 2024. They focused on in-depth discussions regarding the establishment of the Sino-foreign cooperative education program. Based on full communication and negotiation, the two sides officially signed a cooperation agreement on the same day, clearly defining the professional direction and application framework of the cooperative education program.
After the signing of the cooperation agreement, the Chinese and Malaysian universities jointly initiated the application process for education based on the "Regulations on Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education in the People's Republic of China" and relevant management regulations. They successively organized multiple rounds of online meetings to systematically discuss and improve the application plan, teaching plan, faculty allocation, and management mechanism. Through meticulous preparation and material consolidation, the cooperative education program was officially submitted to the relevant authorities for application in September 2024.
During the application period, both sides adhered to the principles of equality and mutual benefit, complementing each other's strengths, and continuously strengthened communication and coordination. They actively responded to policy requirements and steadily advanced the project implementation.
On February 25, 2025, Luohu Food Engineering Vocational University received the official approval from the Henan Provincial Education Department. The higher vocational education program jointly established by it and Quest International University in Malaysia was successfully approved and granted permission to officially enroll students from the public in 2025. The approval of this project marks that Luohu Food Engineering Vocational University has achieved phased results in expanding the internationalization of its educational path and deepening vocational education reform. It also provides a new model for Sino-Malaysian higher education cooperation.
