Under the active promotion and coordination of the Malaysian Education and Culture Promotion Association, Luohe Food Engineering Vocational University will visit and exchange ideas with Quest International University in Malaysia on July 26, 2024, to conduct in-depth discussions on the establishment of Sino foreign cooperative education projects. On the basis of sufficient communication and negotiation, both parties officially signed the cooperative education agreement on the same day, clarifying the professional direction and application framework of the cooperative education.
After the signing of the cooperation agreement, the Chinese and Malaysian universities jointly initiated the application process for education in accordance with the "Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Sino Foreign Cooperative Education" and relevant management regulations. Multiple rounds of online meetings were organized to systematically discuss and improve the application plan, teaching plan, faculty allocation, and management mechanism. After careful preparation and material integration, the cooperative education project officially submitted its application materials to the relevant competent authorities in September 2024.
During the application period, both parties, based on the principles of equality, mutual benefit, and complementary advantages, continuously strengthened communication and coordination, actively responded to policy requirements, and steadily promoted the implementation of the project.
On February 25, 2025, Luohe Food Engineering Vocational University received official approval from the Henan Provincial Department of Education. Its higher vocational education program, jointly organized with Malaysia's Quest International University, has been successfully approved and is allowed to officially enroll students from the society starting from 2025. The approval of this project marks a milestone achievement for Luohe Food Engineering Vocational University in expanding its international education path and deepening vocational education reform, and also provides a new example for higher education cooperation between China and Malaysia.
