On October 26, 2023, the executive director of the Malaysian Education and Culture Promotion Association, Christina Tan, and her secretary, Karen Fong, visited Henan Industrial and Trade Vocational College and attended an international exchange symposium. They also had in-depth discussions with the school's leadership about the alignment of Chinese and Malaysian educational resources and the development of cooperation.
During the symposium, the relevant officials of Henan Industrial and Trade Vocational College warmly welcomed the delegation's arrival and introduced the school's educational characteristics and achievements in industry-academia integration, skilled talent cultivation, and international exchanges and cooperation. The school stated that it has been highly emphasizing cooperation with overseas universities and educational institutions in recent years, with particular attention to the introduction and integration of high-quality educational resources from the Southeast Asian region.
In her speech, the executive director, Christina Tan, pointed out that Malaysia has unique advantages in multilingual education, multicultural integration, and international education exchanges. The Malaysian Education and Culture Promotion Association has been committed to building international communication bridges and actively promoting the sharing of resources and win-win cooperation between Malaysian and Chinese educational institutions in areas such as curriculum collaboration, teacher exchanges, and vocational training.
The secretary, Karen Fong, added that the association is willing to assist Henan Industrial and Trade Vocational College in establishing communication mechanisms with multiple higher education institutions in Malaysia, promoting joint education programs, teacher exchanges, and overseas internships, and further expanding the internationalization of education.
This symposium laid a good foundation for bilateral cooperation in vocational education internationalization.
