They held in-depth discussions and exchanges with the college's leaders regarding matters related to Sino-foreign cooperative education and mutual visits and exchanges between Chinese and Malaysian teachers and students.
The relevant officials of Weifang University's Beihai International College warmly welcomed the delegation's arrival and introduced the specific achievements and plans of the college in international education, cross-border educational cooperation, as well as the "Belt and Road" education development strategy. The college stated that it is currently actively expanding educational ties with Southeast Asia, particularly in the joint cultivation of technical and skilled talents and the construction of overseas internship and practice bases, and is seeking breakthroughs in these areas.
At the symposium, both sides conducted practical discussions on issues such as promoting the cooperation mechanism between Chinese and Malaysian universities, course alignment, teacher exchanges, student exchanges, and cultural visits. Secretary-General Feng Kailin stated that the Malaysian Education and Culture Promotion Association has been committed to building a platform for China-Malaysia educational cooperation for a long time. He hopes that this visit will serve as an opportunity to help more high-quality educational resources from Malaysia establish substantive connections with Chinese universities, especially in areas such as international Chinese education, vocational training, and cross-cultural understanding, achieving complementary development.
Xie Feng, Xin Xiyou and Wang Yanan, the three representatives, also, based on the cooperative experience of the association in the Chinese region, put forward constructive suggestions regarding the implementation of the project, which received a positive response from the school.
This visit has injected new impetus into the in-depth cooperation between China and Malaysia in the field of education, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent establishment of a long-term cooperation mechanism and the joint implementation of talent training projects.
