Joint Visit to Quanzhou Normal University to Promote International Exchange and Cooperation
On June 13, 2023, Ben Liew, Executive President of the World Quanzhou Youth Association (Malaysia Branch), and Karen Fong, Secretary General of the Malaysian Association for the Promotion of Education and Culture, visited Quanzhou Normal University and were warmly received by Vice President Huang Jiangkun and other leaders. Both sides held in-depth talks on promoting cooperation between China and Malaysia in the fields of education, culture, and youth exchanges.
The purpose of this visit is to strengthen the connection between Quanzhou Normal University and the Malaysian education and youth organizations, explore the establishment of closer cooperation mechanisms, and jointly promote the integration of diverse cultures and the sharing of high-quality educational resources between regions.
During the meeting, Vice President Huang Jiangkun warmly welcomed the guests and introduced the development achievements of Quanzhou Normal University in teacher construction, international exchange, cultural heritage, and other aspects. He stated that the college attaches great importance to its connections with overseas Chinese communities and educational institutions, and is willing to expand more cooperation space in talent cultivation, academic exchanges, and cultural visits.
President Liu Bowen and Secretary General Feng Kailin also shared the efforts of Malaysian Chinese youth in promoting cultural dissemination and building a platform for China Malaysia exchanges, and expressed their willingness to establish a long-term cooperative relationship with Quanzhou Normal University.
Both sides also visited the ancient pottery exhibition hall of Quanzhou Normal University, exchanged ideas on the preservation and inheritance of traditional Chinese culture, and exchanged souvenirs to express their friendly friendship.
This exchange visit not only deepened mutual understanding between the two sides, but also laid a solid foundation for future cross regional cooperation. In the future, both sides will continue to promote multilateral interaction between education and culture, injecting new momentum into regional cultural exchanges.
