On May 20, 2026, the China Office of the Malaysian Association for Education and Cultural Promotion, accompanied by a delegation from the Taylor's University Malaysia, visited Shandong Jianzhu University. The two parties engaged in in-depth cooperation and exchange discussions, jointly exploring new pathways for the collaborative development of international education.
At the exchange meeting, representatives from Shandong Jianzhu University and UITM University sequentially introduced the core aspects of their institutions, including historical development, disciplinary construction, distinctive programs, talent cultivation models, and research platform development. The discussions focused on leveraging complementary disciplinary strengths. Both parties engaged in in-depth consultations on joint research projects, regular faculty and student exchanges, and Sino-foreign cooperative education programs, reaching multiple clear cooperation agreements and signing a university-level collaboration framework. Additionally, they formulated medium-to-long-term development plans for the joint graduate school initiative, laying a solid foundation for the joint cultivation of high-level talent.
To ensure the smooth implementation of cooperation, both parties agreed to entrust the Malaysian Education and Cultural Promotion Association with the responsibility of establishing a specialized cooperation task force. This task force will oversee the coordinated execution of various cooperative projects, refine implementation plans, steadily implement exchange initiatives, and jointly set new benchmarks for university cooperation between China and Malaysia.
This visit to China by Taylor's University marks the second exchange activity organized by the Malaysian Education and Cultural Promotion Association for Malaysian higher education institutions since the visit of the University of Malaya. Leveraging the resource advantages of the East Art Cultural Industries Group, the China Office of the Association, more high-quality Malaysian universities will be continuously invited for mutual visits and exchanges in the future.
