On April 22, 2026, a delegation from the China Office of the Malaysian Association for the Promotion of Education and Culture visited City University Malaysia to discuss a new blueprint for international education cooperation and talent development.

The City University of Malaysia ranks 13th in the comprehensive ranking of ASEAN private universities, ranking 3rd in both teaching and employability. Its academic qualifications have been officially recognized by China and Malaysia, and it is a key cooperative university of the "the Belt and Road". The school takes business management, health and medicine as its core advantages, integrates design, cultural tourism and other characteristic majors, adheres to the integration of industry and education, industry benchmarking, and deeply cooperates with more than 200 well-known enterprises. The proportion of practical courses is high, and the starting salary and retention rate of graduates are excellent. The school has established diverse international channels, with credits available for mutual recognition and transfer between British and American universities, to create an international practical talent training system with high cost-effectiveness.

Both parties reviewed the good cooperation achievements over the years, affirmed the successful implementation of multiple educational projects, and conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as joint training, credit recognition, practical training and employment, and teacher exchange, reaching multiple new cooperation intentions.

In the future, we will work together to broaden the channels for further education and employment, provide diverse international learning experiences and broad career development space for Chinese students, and continue to deepen educational exchanges and collaborative development of industry, academia, and research between China and Malaysia.
