On April 18, 2026, a delegation from the China Office of the Malaysian Association for Education and Cultural Promotion visited Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), where both parties held discussions and exchanges on specialized fields such as agriculture and veterinary science, exploring new pathways for international education cooperation.

At the symposium, Universiti Putra Malaysia showcased its research capabilities, training platforms, and international certification achievements in its strengths such as tropical agriculture, veterinary science, and livestock breeding. The China Office of the Association provided a detailed overview of the current state of agricultural education development, corporate-educational resources, and collaboration plans in China, with a focus on promoting resources from top-tier agricultural universities like Shandong Agricultural University.

The two parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as joint program development, faculty and student exchanges, collaborative training, and scientific research cooperation, reaching multiple agreements on collaboration. The association will serve as a bridge, facilitating precise connections with partner institutions like Shandong Agricultural University to promote curriculum alignment, shared practical training, and joint talent cultivation.

This exchange further strengthens the foundation of agricultural education cooperation between China and Malaysia, facilitates the mutual sharing of high-quality educational resources, fosters the cultivation of more internationalized interdisciplinary talents in fields such as tropical agriculture and veterinary technology, and promotes the high-quality integration of agricultural science, education, and technology between the two countries.
